From Damasca
Overview
Damasca's sounds are being managed by Anthonius Runeblaze, Cyril, Dart Zaidyer, Joan-Michele, and NIQ, with Cyril, Joan-Michele, and Dart Zaidyer being musical composers. The scope of Damasca's audio development is such that most everything that is practical to be made ourselves be done accordingly, with minimal trips to creative commons and other freely-available sources. Music, especially, is entirely original, as will any voice acting that may be incorporated along the way.
Technical
Damasca's sound engine is driven by the FMOD engine, which allows for any format usable by the OS to be used within the game. This is especially useful, since all our music and sound filetypes have DirectShow filters associated with them - In other words, they can be played with the operating system by default. Our currently selected filetypes are Ogg Vorbis (.ogg), AACPlus v2 (.aac), and tentatively either MP3 (.mp3) or ADPCM WAV (.wav).
