Decription

Large, black-feathered birds that make their nests underground. They have five scaled appendages located pentagonally along their underside, in addition to the foot-and-a-half wings protruding from the back. Cravens are natural kleptomaniacs, swooping down from the sky to snatch exposed trinkets from travellers. Shining objects are their favourites, and often go into the lining of a nest, which is rearranged constantly to show off their collection. They are not naturally aggressive, and will often retreat if a whole-hearted effort is put into scaring them off.

Habitat

The vast majority of the craven population resides on Dachtura, but they are beginning to follow trade ships to Dureign and Makarda.
